I designed and developed the website for Ants of the Prairie, an NY-based architecture and research practice that is dedicated to developing ecologically-minded habitats for nonhuman species. In tribute to the pavement ants of New York, we proposed structuring the website with “pavement” grids populated by relevant quotes marching in ant formation.
Upon being left idle, the ants eventually break free from the pavement cracks and converge on a "sweet" sticky image, alluding to the processes where nature reclaims abandoned and neglected infrastructure. Features a customized backend built in Kirby to suit the client's needs. In collaboration with Miguel Gajdos.
